Silver Wings, the youngest unit in the United States Air Force Band, was founded in 1993. Since this time, the ensemble has grown and evolved, becoming a band that not only re-makes or "covers" contemporary country hits, popular favorites and patriotic anthems, but is also continuously adding to its repertoire original songs from the Band. Freedom is the second recording from Silver Wings and represents six years of rehearsing, performing, experimenting, listening and evolving. This delightful album includes several well-known songs such as "Outbound Plane" and "Mi Vida Loca (My Crazy Life)" as well as some original compositions like "What Does It Mean?" Silver Wings possesses a joyous spirit when making music with one another, and Freedom is a clear indication of this.
