This album is a golden anniversary celebration by The United States Air Force Strolling Strings. The outstanding reputation the group has achieved over the years may be attributed to the talent, musicianship, and hard work of the men and women who have served as members of the Strolling Strings over the last five decades. The Strolling Strings 50th Anniversary, directed by Chief Master Sergeant Jane R. Bockenek, contains twenty-six different tracks including "A Time For Us," "Fly Me to the Moon," the spirited "Arthur's Theme" from Arthur (1981), "What A Wonderful World," "Strauss Waltz Medley," and a lovely rendition of "America the Beautiful." The works on the album are dedicated to the wonderful Air Force musicians whose loyal servitude and musical talent made the Strolling Strings' first fifty years so successful. Although it is just a small sampling of The Strolling Strings' talents, The Strolling Strings 50th Anniversary is a solid reminder of why the ensemble has become known as one of the greatest ensembles in the world.
