The Firebird and Other 20th Century Masterpieces

This new release from "Pershing's Own" United States Army Band features the music of three prominent 20th Century composers: Edward Elgar, Igor Stravinsky, and Ottorino Respighi. Renowned in the U.S. as a popular graduation processional, the album opens with Elgar's famous Pomp and Circumstance. Second to appear on the album is Igor Stravinsky's re-orchestrated suite from the ballet The Firebird. Finally, the Army Band features Respighi's The Pines of Rome, his most well-known tone poem.
