Liberty for All - United States Coast Guard Band

This delightful album is divided into four select categories. The songs in each category do not play in order, however each was selected to fulfill its particular category. The first, "Fanfares", contains the songs "Fanfare for Freedom" and "Liberty Fanfare". The second category, "Saluting the Armed Forces", honors the efforts of our armed services. This category includes the songs "Inchon", "Music of Appreciation" and "Vigil", which depicts different scenes from life in the Coast Guard. The third category, "Works with a Narrator or Vocalist", contains "Liberty for All" and "A Lincoln Address". Both of these tracks are narrated by Merlin Olsen, a distinguished television and film actor. The final category, "Marches", contains "Liberty Bell" and "Hail to the Spirit of Liberty", two marches composed by John Philip Sousa. In addition, the director of this album, Commander Lewis J. Buckley, composed and arranged the track "D.H.S. March", written to commemorate the Coast Guard's transfer to the Department of Homeland Security in 2003. Liberty for All contains old favorites and new hits that demonstrate the talent and dedication of the United States Coast Guard Band
