The album features beautiful, symphonic band pieces selected for the message behind the music. Included on this album is Eric Erwazen's "A Hymn for the Lost and Living" which he composed as his musical response to the intense emotional outpouring of the people of NYC following September 11th. "That Others May Live" written by SSgt Jeremy Martin, dedicated to all of the medical workers in all branches of the US Military. Gene Sheer's "American Anthem" was composed to serve as a reminder of the selfless sacrifices of the men and women who fight for our nation. For the 50th Anniversary of WWII, Colonel Jack Grogran commissioned Robert Jager to compose "Epilogue: Lest We Forget." "Gardens of Stone" by James A. Beckel, Jr. is written for all of the fallen heroes buried at Arlington Cemetery. And "The Last Full Measure of Devotion" by Larry Grossman and Buz Kohan which was composed for the 1991 CBS Special "CBS All-Star Salute to Our Troops," among many other great pieces.
