From Helmand to Horse Guards follows a year in the lives of the 1st Battalion
Scots Guards, from their deployment in Helmand province, Afghanistan
in 2010, to The Trooping of the Colour at Horse Guards Parade for the Queen’s
Official Birthday. Here they present a wide range of musical styles from
traditional pipe band music to Ceilidh and Celtic rock with orchestral
accompaniment. This CD was presented with the highest honors to the
President of the United States at Buckingham Palace.
