The US Army Field Band Jazz Ambassadors are proud to present The Legacy of Mary Lou Williams. A top-notch pianist and arranger, Williams was influential in the musical world through her presence as a pianist, composer, arranger, and educator, standing as the only jazz musician to 'play' through all eras of jazz music. Presented here are 14 of Williams' compositions, displaying that her influence stands the test of time as it is still felt strongly today almost 30 years after her death.
