Brassfare is a tribute to more brash "harps of war"- the military brass and percussion sections. Featuring fanfares and other types of militaristic music, this album calls to mind the many moods of war- from desperation and sadness to elation and exhilaration. Recorded by the United States Air Force Band of the Rockies, Brassfare demonstrates the stylistic range and flexibility of the band. Conducted by Captain Matthew S. Henry, this album contains tracks like "Duke of Marlborough Fanfare" and "Sugar Foot Strut." The United States Air Force Band of the Rockies exemplifies the best of the past, present, and future in traditional and contemporary music.
